So, it’s my favorite time of the month again. That’s right, it’s PINCHme time y’all!
Guys, if you haven’t checked out this truly awesome free sample service yet then you’re missing out. And you need to haul your tired mama butts over to their site and get signed up. Like yesterday.
Every month the mailman drops off a box of sheer joy on my doorstep, and I spend at least 30 minutes with a smile plastered on my face. At least until my toddler wipes it off with the unmentionable stickiness that resides permanently upon his tiny fingertips.
Can I get an ‘ew’?
Anyway, without further ado, here’s my pick of the litter from my September box!
Sesame Street and Mr Bubble 3-in-1 Body Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner
So, admittedly I usually restrict my kid’s bath time products to organic/free from high end products, but hey you gotta explore a little in life, especially when that exploration is FREE!
My 2 year old really loved the extreme foam that came with running these products under the faucet, and truthfully they smelt awesome! He even played with the packets for a good while in the tub too (Elmo has stolen my child’s soul, just so y’all know).
My opinion? Good for once in a while as a bathtub adventure, but not my cup of tea for every day cleaning.
Shea Moisture, Raw Shea, Chamomile and Argan Oil
Baby Wash and Shampoo/Baby Lotion
In almost direct contrast this the Mr Bubble and Sesame Street bath products, this one it TOTALLY on my list for everyday bath time fun! I even tried this on the sensitive skin of my 7 week old, and frankly I loved it completely.
Super soft skin resulted as well as an amazing, long lasting smell that made me want to hold my perpetually stinky toddler just a little tighter at bedtime (What? I’m only human).
Kura, Start Your Smoothie
This smoothie starter appealed to the postpartum weight loss/fitness freak in me. It’s awesome blend of Omega 3’s, probiotics, vitamins and minerals gave me some really good feels, considering I’ve just had a baby and am non-stop breastfeeding a mini-monster (seriously, he’s huge).
And taste wise? The vanilla flavor I tried was pretty darn good for a protein powder! I’m not a fan usually of protein shakes, but the fact that you add your own fresh veggies and fruits gives you the opportunity to the mask that taste in whatever was you fancy. Perfect.
Walgreens, Well Beginnings Diapers
Walgreen’s own brand diaper, AKA the Well Beginnings range, are cute, functional and reasonably priced. We tend to be a Target household here, using Up & Up diapers for the last 2 years straight, but these aren’t too bad if you’re looking for something comparable price wise to the Target brand. They do the job and feature a cute elephant motif that my 2 year old liked a whole lot.
In a pinch I’d definitely grab these over a more expensive brand, but as of now Target still has our diapering hearts.
